Amy Walker, LLMSW

Amy Walker, LLMSW, became a therapist due to her love for relationships and a desire to understand emotional processes and healing. She specializes in assisting those experiencing anxiety, depression, and domestic abuse situations. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Community Service with a concentration in Family Relations from Sienna Heights University in 2013. In 2022, she received her Master's in Social Work from Spring Arbor University. During her internships, she worked with foster care, CPS, and geriatric patients at a psychiatric hospital. For several years, she has also volunteered her time at Sparrow Hospital’s NICU.


Amy strives in supporting others with their life transitions while helping to enhance their overall mental health and well-being. Her approaches to therapy include, but are not limited to, strength-based, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, and person-centered methods. Her personality reflects empathy, thoughtfulness, positivity, and understanding. She meets clients where they are at in their journeys and strives to create a safe and welcoming environment.
